Jill Schutz - 2nd grade teacher
Welcome to Second Grade at St. Peter!
I am thrilled to be part of the St. Peter teaching team, bringing over three decades of experience to the classroom. Throughout my 15 years at St. Peter, I’ve also been deeply involved in mission trips to South Africa, PLI, leading chapel services, facilitating huddle and discipleship groups, serving as the Director of Children’s Ministries, and a variety of other roles on lead staff.
My family and I joined St. Peter Lutheran Church and School in 2007 when our eldest son began kindergarten. The strong, faith-filled community we found here has been a blessing to us. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Adam, and together we have two amazing sons, Trevor and Tyson, who both attended St. Peter from kindergarten through 8th grade.
My passion lies in empowering students with opportunities in leadership and discipleship. I strive to engage my students in the joy of discovery, integrating faith and technology into every aspect of learning. Building deep, meaningful relationships with my students is essential to me, as I guide them toward leading lives centered on Christ.
My mission is to instill a lifelong love for Jesus and learning that extends well beyond the classroom. Teaching at St. Peter allows me to openly share the love of Jesus and integrate Biblical truths into science, history, and all areas of our curriculum.
