ALUMNI RETURN TO ST. PETER!
The mantra “Once a Saint, always a Saint” has been evident again on the St. Peter campus recently. We are always excited for our alumni to come back and show their Saints pride and find ways to continue to be a part of this wonderful community. This volleyball season has seen our graduates coming back to help with everything from concessions to coaching to running the scoreboard. There is excitement in returning to the place that was their school-home for so many years and to be able to help other students as they go through their own experiences at St. Peter.
This season, Mary Staehlin, class of 1992, and Steven Kay, class of 2007, are coaching the volleyball teams. Mary coaches all of the teams, and Steven coaches with the boys’ teams. Justin Arrowood, class of 2020, has been volunteering with coaching during practices and games when his schedule allows. Cayden Hilgers, class of 2019, has helped to run the scoreboard and book during games. During the volleyball tournament hosted by St. Peter the weekend of October 2, numerous 2019, 2020, and 2021 graduates returned to help out in many capacities throughout the tournament. Past students, like Caleb Bertermann, Emony Dickinson, Matthew Drake, Jackson Faltinek, Chris Marzigliano, Mia Punzalan, Nolan Smith, Kaitlyn Stoeckel, and others could be seen helping anywhere extra hands were needed.
St. Peter is more than just a school. By the time our students graduate, they and their families feel deeply connected to this close-knit community and the people on a similar journey. We welcome every opportunity to invite our alumni back into the school to visit, serve, and continue to show their Saints pride!
