Parents of summer babies have a tough decision to either delay entry to school until the following year or put their child in a class with much older children. Transitional kindergarten positions these students to be more successful in future academic years by providing an additional year to develop socially and emotionally, as well as to continue building important academic skills and receiving additional exposure to important concepts. As traditional kindergarten programs have gotten more academic in nature, TK allows children to continue developing school readiness skills in a classroom setting that is designed to be more social, using play and exploration in addition to traditional classroom instruction. Our fun and educational program is designed for young 5’s (late summer birthdays), and students who turn 5 between 9/2/24 and 12/2/24.

“In the 2.5 years our son has been at St. Peter, he has expressed nothing but joy for going there. We are beyond pleased with the education that our son has received and continues to receive. I could not think of a better, more well-rounded school to send our son.”
— Eric Nelson, St. Peter parent
