ROCK N' KIDS

Maracas and clackers and tambourines, too; it's musical fun just for you! Rock 'n' Kids is excited to present "Kid Rock" to the families at St. Peter this winter! This active, music-based program includes songs and rhymes, rhythm and coordination, fine and gross motor, imagination and sensory, listening and following directions skills, and more! Structured activities include use of engaging rhythm instruments, movement props, and sensory materials. The instructor, Ms. Mari, has been rockin' for 23 years! Her extensive background in early childhood, and energetic, friendly personality makes her the perfect instructor for this enrichment program! BUILD -A-BOT

Calling all engineers and scientists! Build a Bot is a fun inquiry-based hands-on STEAM experience that engages students in design and robotics. In this program, students practice their engineering skills to create a series of robot models, each operating with a different mechanism and fulfilling a unique purpose. Students challenge their hands and minds to build fascinating bots, like the Fiber Optic Lamp, Powered Boat, Bubble Blower, and more! This program is fully aligned with NGSS standards and students even get to keep their creations.

LITTLE DOUGH NUTS

Engineer Dough Creations through interactive lessons! This course introduces students to the wonderful world of dough as a tool to expand their academic knowledge and build fine motor skills. Through guided hands-on instruction, students use their imagination to plan, construct, and build their own creations. The lessons use dough as a medium for students to explore math, zoology, and art concepts in a unique setting. The course culminates in a final chemistry engineering project where they design and create a personalized model to keep.

BITTY BALLET

Learn the basic positions of ballet, technique, choreography as well as have fun dancing and singing along in this beginning level class run by Chicago Loves Dance.

BROADWAY MINIS

Our veteran theater instructor Mary Geraci is back! Performers will expand their imaginations to create different characters and worlds. Through acting games, storybooks, scenes, songs and dance, they will learn the art of performing in front of and with others in an inclusive and safe environment. Each week we will touch on a different story or musical aspect of the performing arts. Returning students will expand on their creativity and will be introduced to different stories and musicals. Families will be invited to a short performance on the last day of class.

JELLYBEAN SPORTS

We teach early learners playground survival skills. Jelly Bean Sports' after-school programs will keep your early learner active. We work hard to make kids coachable, teaching them how to be better listeners, and better communicators, and challenging their critical thinking. Starting at age 2, ours is a non-competitive sports environment. Great for both young boys and young girls. If your child is shy, no problem. Ours is great fun that offers cool training aids that will have them participating in no time. Learning is kept novel. By this we mean a different sport is introduced each week. Sports are kept simple and learning is made fun. Finally, we believe the sports classroom is ideal for the integration of the preschool curriculum. Our active learning offers space for teaching numbers, letters, colors, and more in real-world scenarios. Our use of cool characters, animation, parachutes, bubbles, rings, cones, and dots is what keeps early learners begging for more.

CLAY CREATIONS

Join us for 8 weeks of fun clay, and animal sculpting projects! We will look at different animals from several continents as we learn about where they live, and how to draw them. Then we will get the clay out and using really cool clay sculpting techniques and tools, we will create and then paint them. Who does not love to have several 3D animal sculptures to enjoy after our time creating together!

INQUISITIVE MINDS

This is an enrichment class that focuses each week on a different fascinating topic. We will immerse ourselves into subjects ranging from engineering to rain forests and from dinosaurs to manners. A mix of hands-on, visual, and sensory aids will be used to explore each subject. Lots of fun activities and crafts will be completed during class that your child will be excited to bring home and share with you.
