Welcome to the 29th Annual Saints Shootout

In January 1997, Athletic Director Andy Fritz and Booster Club Leaders Sandy Siok and Barb Woike along with sponsorship help from Pepsi Cola Bottlers held the first annual St. Peter – Pepsi Classic. In 1999, the tournament’s association with Pepsi Cola ended and a partnership with Mueller Services, Ltd. began. At that time, it was decided to change the name of the tournament to “Saints Shootout” and add the theme “In His name we play”. In 2000, the tournament expanded by adding 8 more girls teams. The first girls championship was won by the host Lady Saints. Each year, volunteers work together under the leadership of the athletic program to provide a quality experience for the participating teams and guests. From grilling at the concession stand to operating the clock, the success of the tournament relies heavily on the efforts of St. Peter families, alumni, staff volunteers, and sponsors. We want them to know their efforts are greatly appreciated.
