A group of alumni returned to St. Peter recently to enjoy the Spring 2017 production of "Dear Edwina Jr."   All of these alumni had served in a variety of acting and tech roles when they were students at St. Peter.  They  enjoyed watching younger friends and siblings who are now performing in St. Peter fine arts productions.

BG Alumni “Give Back to St. Peter”

Over 2100 Buffalo Grove High School students, which included a group of  ten St. PeterBG Students Give Back to SP alumni recently participated in a service event t St. Peter, as well as at over 30 other sites in Cook and Lake Counties.   Each of these students shared a two hour period of their time with these sites in doing a variety of service activities.  At St. Peter, the students worked with Principal Rudi and the maintenance department to moving furniture, working with preschool students,  shovel snow, and preform general clean-up around the building.

A committee of students, staff and administrators planned the service day, and even they were shocked at how it took off. For example, T-shirts they designed for the day drew more than 800 preorders, and then 2,100 students signed up to participate.

"The spirit of giving has just taken off," Mr.  Schaetzlein, assistant BG principal commented.

Buffalo Grove Principal Jeff Warble was impressed with the numbers of his students that wanted to return to their middle schools such as St. Peter.

"I hope they realize that they really can make a difference in the lives of these younger students, and that it opens their minds to service," Warble said. "Hopefully, they'll bring that spirit of service back to the Buffalo Grove community and back to the hallways of their school.
